Wiki's
Question: How do you use successfully use Wiki's in your classroom? I have not used Wiki's for classroom instruction. Although I do have a Wiki set up for my classroom website. I know already that they are very easy to use and easy to access. Wiki's in my classroom though how could I engage my students to use them successfully? I think that I could use Wiki's to create an online text for my curriculum for my students to contribute to. I am teaching explorers so I think it would be useful for students to be able to contribute to a Wiki on European Explorers!

Wow! You already have a wiki set up? How is it being used?
ReplyDeleteOn the blogs you read, have there been creative ideas for using wikis with students in your grade level?
You could possibly set it up like we have been doing with our itsopedia. They are on a rotational schedule and have to contribute to the one assigned to them and then rotate through so everyone writes or edits something for each explorer.
ReplyDeleteI use my wiki as a class webpage. Mindy I like that idea. The main problem for me to think about is crowd control. I like your idea of the rotational schedule I had never thought of that! :)
